The nonprofit sector remains tightly constrained by a set of economic “rules” that discourage fair and competitive compensation for those dedicating their lives to the causes we care about most. They discourage serious marketing, risk-taking and long-term investment for scaling organizational impact. These rules work against the sector on every level. It’s time to rethink philanthropy and charity “rules”.
